We installed an Aprilaire 600 humidifier shortly after moving into our new-construction home in 2001. In December 2011 the tube that carried water from the valve unit into the evaporator grew brittle enough to finally separate at the compression fitting. I thought about just running to [@] and getting a replacement fitting and some tube, but decided to get the tune-up kit instead.It was a good decision. In addition to a new tube and fitting, I also got a new evaporation matrix, and a new carrier for that matrix. It was a cinch to install, and in minutes everything was working again.

This is a good kit if you need to replace almost everything but the humidifier housing.

It turned out my problem wasn't caused by anything that I needed in this rebuild kit but was caused by a plugged drain line. But it is nice to know my April Air has all new parts.

Installed this kit and have my humidifier working again like the day it was new. Instructions and installation a breeze. Plan to do this every couple of years to keep it working like new.

After years of tryin to manually descale the humidifier, and replacing filters every couple of months, I found that this package actually restored the device to its mint-new quality, and it works wonderfully! I will buy one of these annually, now, as it is like getting a new humidifier every year.
