It is disappointing that the water level sensor is so poorly constructed that is has to be replaced every few years. This is a Honeywell design and fabrication issue. The replacement part is of the same design and fabrication as the part that was replaced. I expect that it will fail again in 2 to 3 years!!! I guess that is this is the "new normal" in the appliance world!!

I've had my Honeywell Steam Humidifier going on its 3rd season. This is the 3rd water level sensor I have had to install. $60.-70. each time is starting to get a little expensive to keep this humidifier in operation. This is plus other parts I've had to replace. This water sensor is such a simple item, I cannot figure out what can go wrong with them. I would stay away from this humidifier if I had to do it over again.

Couldn't imagine this piece could go bad. Followed the troubleshooting diagnostic code in the manual, changed the part, and the unit worked. I am a plumber for a plumbing, electrical, and hvac company. Our service manager said that our hvac division changes these things everyday.
