So Quiet You Might Not Know it's On This WhisperCeilingT model features a totally enclosed condenser motor and a large, double suction blower wheel to quietly move air. A small wheel turning very fast will create more noise than a large wheel turning more slowly for a given airflow. Our fan uses a wide blower wheel that moves a large amount of air at reduced RPMs. The blower wheel is also designed to draw air in from both sides, which helps keep the noise down, as there is more area for the air to enter the wheel. In fact, it is quiet enough that you might not even know it's on.
Continuous, Trouble-free Operation for Many Years This fan is designed to give you continuous, trouble-free operation for many years thanks in part to its high-quality components and permanently lubricated motors which wear at a slower pace. Also, since heat is always detrimental to motor life (the cooler the environment, the longer the motor will last), we designed the electrical configuration of this model's condenser motor to allow it to operate at lower temperatures, increasing the life of the motor and bearings. And, the fan housing is made of heavy-gauge zinc galvanized steel and painted to protect it from rust.
User-Friendly Installation Detachable adaptors, firmly secured duct ends, adjustable mounting brackets (up to 26"), fan/motor units that detach easily from the housing and uncomplicated wiring all lend themselves to user-friendly installation. This model also features a double-hanger bar system for ideal positioning.

Tired of Cold Air Coming Through Your Ventilation Fan? This Panasonic fan has a built-in damper to prevent backdraft, which helps to prevent outside air from coming through the fan. Also, thanks to our efficient, cool running motors and fluorescent bulbs, it does not create excessive heat-a common problem with recessed lighting fixtures and some competitors' fan/light combinations. Loose fill or batt insulation can be placed directly over the fan housing to prevent heat from escaping.

Very quiet fan. Fan requires a larger hole in the ceiling than a standard bathroom fan - so requires some planning and effort during installation. Fan has greatly improved humidity problem in our bathroom.

Installed this fan in my bathroom, I thought something was wrong with it. It is very quit. I put the install booklet up to it, yanked it out of my hand. High flow, low noise. Panasonic Fans are the best. Don't bother buying anything else.

Great experiance ordering from BathroomFansExpert.com. Instructions not clear on replacing an existing fan. Once I figured it out on my own, installation went smooth. Needed to install from the attic. Removed sheetrock screws around the opening and then slipped it between the joists and the sheetrock. If I had followed the instructions, the opening would have been too large. Once installed, very quiet, very pleased with Panasonic

Instructions are good, and packaged well. It is pretty quiet, much quieter that the cheapo ones sold in the home improvement stores, but not so quiet that you cannot tell it is on as others have commented. Much better than the old-school chrome propeller type fan we have in the old bathroom ceiling!

Installed Fan myself. Maybe I was expecting more. I went to panasonics sight and went through the formula for choosing right size fan and actually bought next bigger size. Instructions were easy to understand but after installing I held a piece of tissue up to fan with it on and was a little surprised that it didn't suck right up to it. The fan did hold the paper until I layed it against it. It is a super quiet fan but advise to leave it running about 20 min. after leaving shower to remove all the moisture. It is alot better fan than the one I had and plan on upgrading my other two baths.

Bought this Panasonic 3 months ago after a lengthy research for our large master bathroom. Builder's weak fan sounded like an helicopter. The new Panasonic is fantastic, removes the steam from hot showers in a few minutes, yet so quiet we have to turn on the light next to it to remind us the fan is on. Cannot comment on attic installation, had a handyman do it, but he was impressed with the quality of this fan. Make sure to calculate cfm needed on the Panasonic website.
