The picture looks industrial but the actual installed product would be fine on any house. It has a "Too big" look, but its not. - From now on, its the only thing I will use. Best Uses Comments about American Aldes 4" Roof Cap for Dryer Venting - 22 041: The reviews I read led me to believe it was HUGE. I needed it none the less and ordered it right up. Upon its arrival, I realized its the perfect size. If I wanted to paint it I would have had to do some primer work, which I did not have time to do. It looks just fine the way it is. Cons Best Uses Comments about American Aldes 4" Roof Cap for Dryer Venting - 22 041: Way better than anything at the store. Backdraft damper nice and light, opens fully with dryer running. Easily installed, huge flashing. I did caulk the seams on the uphill side, they looked like they would let water in. Wonder why the pipe connection is oversize, you can't clamp down on a 4" galvanized duct. Had to settle for metal tape, and put the compression clamp just for show. Otherwise excellent!
