The cap is hand made but made from quality material the screen on the ends wasn't glued in well and I don't know how long the screen will last but it looks like it will do the job. Most of the installations I have seen don't have anything on the top of the pipe I personally want to keep the rain out of my fan or any birds that want to try and fly down.

I had to rig it to fit a smaller diameter outlet pipe.

I didn't like the idea of rain or even Iowa snow going down into the PVC pipe headed toward an expensive fan. I was going to try to make something, then I saw this pipe cap. Perfect solution.
