Our family room was always cooler and need a boost of heat. It works well and now the room is much warmer. [...] It says it is white as well as the adapter plate. The color is off white but not almond color. We are very happy in the unit and couldn't get over how fast we recieved it. Will deal with this company for other filter items I need.

I never post reviews, but diligently read them all before purchasing anything (the irony, I know!). This item is so amazing though that I had to take a second to say so. My daughters rooms were both so chilly at night and they are both young enough that they don't keep blankets on through the night. I didn't want to do a space heater and didn't want to pay to heat up the whole house. This is the PERFECT answer thought!! It has made a HUGE difference in the temp, and we only have it on the lowest fan speed. It does make a slight sound, but actually works great in the kids room bc its just like white noise. I would recommend this 1000% to anyone!

I have a Texas nearly 2000 square foot 2 story condo, 21 foot ceiling in living room (with upstair loft) and 14 foot vaulted ceilings in bedrooms...used four total boosters (vents are about 9 feet above floor) and the rooms now have close to equal air flow. I am now not roasting!

We purchased these units to boost our vents and make them more efficient in a sunroom addittion. They are great and kept us from having to purchase a $1,200.00 wall unit. The room is very cool and we could not be more pleased!!!!

We were looking for a way to boost the cool air to our second floor master with a cathedral ceiling.. I started by putting a fan over the outlet and found these...I purchased 2 for our large bedroom and they have made a differece in drawing cool air up, through the vents and keeping the room cool. As for the various discussions about noise, I have not found them noisy at all...they are basically two computer fans mounted to a register...quite honestly, if they did not have the blue light showing they were on, I would need to be within 2-3 feet to hear them. They are quiet and provide the additional power to draw more cool air into this room.

I was looking to pull more AC to my office full of computer equipment. It's the furthest room from the Central Air unit and it get hot. It help's. Maybe I expected better. But I it very loud on high speed.

In the summer it hasn't proven itself yet. It seems to make noo temperature difference at all, doesn't pull enough air.

I am hoping in the winter it will work better and pull the heat up better than it does the air.

Our thermostat is located on our first floor. We use these fans on our second floor to regulate air/heat. One works for a small room, but more are needed in larger rooms.

The register booster does improve air flow and helps cool our room in the summer.
On cool mode, the blue indicator light glows nearly as bright as a night light.
The fan motor creates white noise, similar to a computer cooling fan, which masks other sounds in the house. This white noise might be objectionable when trying to watch TV on low volume setting.

Installed it in our bedroom that was too cool at night. It is working well. It comes on and off with the furnace and is not noisy. A much more economical solution to fixing our problem than upgrading the furnace or the duct work.
