As advertised, The video is accurate and truthful as is all they say about it, glad I bought it, a great improvement !!! And yes it can be installed horizontally. Nice to see a company that can still improve it's products and move forward.

I remodeled my house big time and was able to re-use my Aprilaire...when I heard about the upgrade I didnt hesitate.IAQSource was easy, great price and had all the info to include the video If you have an Aprilaire do the UPGRADE! If you dont have one then I highly recommend you look at Aprilaire as the best choice for a house filtration system

The directions were not very clear about which side of the rails should face up or down. The directions were also not very clear about which slots to insert the filter. The frame snapped together fairly easy. The tabs that need to be pushed up (or down) did not just snap in like the video. They needed to be "massaged" with a hammer and screwdriver. Maybe it was because of the tolerances of the original filter housing – who knows – it's in now. Since our filter sits on the floor, I did not have a lot of space to align the filter into the bottom rail. Installation of future filters should be easier. The filter does seem to be effective.

Kit included well written instructions with pictures. I opened the box and in 20 min. it was all finished. I like the idea of installing (included) label on the front stating when the filter was changed.

House is less dusty since I installed this. Pretty easy to put together and install. I didn't watch the video, but had some trouble putting the filter in the frame. I had to put the filter in and then put the frame in the housing. Probably just the angle where my housing is installed. Also, filter seems to be a little long for the housing. I had to stuff it in to get the door on.

Easy to assemby, the only problem was the in the directions for the 2 different models. Did not tell what to do with the insulation that was in the old cover (remove or leave it there) since the insert only worked with newer design.
