for the price, this thing works great. I moved it from room to room and let it stabilize overnight and its great. After a few days, you get the min/max readings and they are right on. I have anothe device for 3x the price, yes, it has larger numbers, but this one tracks right along with the expensive units.

I purchased this device to monitor room relative humidity where computer equipment operates, and noticed that it read about 35% initially, and I was happy the room was ok (meaning under 50%). When I borrowed a certified and calibrated instrument to check the humidity levels, I found it to be about 68%. This device has a 50% error reading relative humidity rendering it totally useless. Do not trust it for accuracy.

Bought 2 of these Monitors, and they don't read the same, in the same room, at the same time, next to one another. One or both is not accurate, I don't know which. It appears to me that the mfgr didn't calibrate one or both. Sorry, but I would not recommend this product.

This unit enables me to verify that I am using my humidifier correctly during winter heat season. Great magnet to attach to refrigerator or back snaps open to sit on bureau in bedroom. Can't verify totally accurate, but so far results seem consistent enough to believe it is reliable.

The digitol readout is alot more precise than the regular wall unit and the low or high humidity level indicator take the guess work out of your settings.For the price it cant be beat.
