The enclosed template provides mounting locations for a wide range of commercial thermostat models. . With most existing thermostat applications, the thermostat guard can be installed without removing the thermostat from the wall. In existing applications, only the cover and ring base will be used, NOT the wallplate. For some existing installations the thermostat may need to be removed from the subbase to install ring base. . In new thermostat applications, the thermostat guard can be used with or without the wallplate. The wallplate is usually used to cover scratches or marks from the old thermostat installation.

We have 7 thermostats in public areas in our camp and retreat facility. These allow us to control the heat and A/C so that groups don't make those adjustments. Saves money and energy. Easy to open and access thermostat. Would prefer it had an attached hinge rather than detachable cover. They look nice and are unobtrusive--fit our thermostats perfectly.

This is a GREAT thermostat COVER.Seems to be made of quality plastic and has a VERY nice LOW PROFILE design,so it doesn't stick way out into my hallways where my linen carts will hit it.(Hotel)It has a nicely designed locking mechanism also!

It was easy to install and easy to remove, although it would be nicer if it had hinges. I wish it had some air holes, so the thermostat knows when it reaches the proper temperature. Other than that, it does keep my 94 year old mother with Alzheimer's from constantly changing the temperature.

We have five different size thermostats at our offices, and this guard fit all of them. It is very nice in appearance and was very easy to install (about two minutes for each one). The only complaint is that the lid is not attached and comes off in your hand every time you open them up. Otherwise, it is a great product, and I purchased several of them.
