I kept the fan on 24/7 and the filter needed to be replaced every three months. There is no stale or musty air smell since I put the unit in.I have been thinking about the newest, more efficient filter that Lennox put out, but at [$] a pop, with my rate of replacement, I am going to stick with this for awhile.
