A remote Fantech exhaust fan is very difficult to hear. Without a timer control, it is very likely that the exhaust fan will be left on for hours and you might not notice.

This is a great option to control our bathroom vent fan. Nice to have several choices for time as well as an override button. A must have! Selectable color options a nice touch.

Hate to say it, but so easy to install a caveman could do it. It does take up more space in the junction box than a regular switch and the wires had to be arranged carefully in the back of the box to make everything fit. I highly recommend this switch. I put 1 on each bath fan (4 total). My family loves them too, no more remembering to turn off the fan and light.

We installed this to power a Panasonic Whisper Green 50 CFM exhaust fan (FV-05VK1) in a walk-in closet. The fan is so quiet that I can't tell it's even turned on without looking at the motor.
This timer is so convenient and attractive. It comes with interchangeable control panels in the 3 basic switch colors, and I can turn it on for 10 minutes to an hour and walk away.
My only quibble is the price. Light timers that look identical to this product cost about half as much. We're installing on three exhaust fans, so we could buy another motor for what we're spending on timers.
