Cons Best Uses Comments about Fantech RSK8 Spring Loaded Backdraft Damper for 8" Duct: my hydronic heating (only) "fan wall" system. 4 zones, each has inline Fan-Tech fan with back drft dmpr.As each zone cycles off it's fan, the BDD prevents the 'on' fans from drawing thru the off fan zone. No need for motorized dmpr. Each zones' stat. energizes a 24v 2pole Snglthrow relay. one pole for 110volt fan,other pole for hydronic pump. All 4 zones are paralled wired to pump so any zone calling will turn on pump and it's fan.When pump is energized the flow will kick on the tankless water boiler.
