Comments about Fantech DGD6 Designer Exhaust Grill with Integrated Backdraft Damper for 6" Duct: I used this for Bath Room exhaust. The Collar on the damper side is not tall enough. Got to be carefull using flex duct so that the dampers clear the the duct. Otherwise it works very well and quiet. Easy install Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review 5/3/2010 Exhaust Grill Pros

Comments about Fantech DGD6 Designer Exhaust Grill with Integrated Backdraft Damper for 6" Duct: this is installed on the second floor of a 2 family. i felt it necessary in the event of failure of the exterior damper. i had to install it on the slant just above a kneewall. i found out that the pivot on which the two damper leaves depends needs to be parallel to the rafters. when it isn't one leaf would rest on the back of the other. the installed spring isn't strong enough to flip it right. so the heated air would escape. Comments about Fantech DGD6 Designer Exhaust Grill with Integrated Backdraft Damper for 6" Duct: When directly connected to RVF series of fan the back draft damper hits the fan blades. Piece was exact length to coordinate with wall thickness and grille fit fine at inside of wall. Had to remove damper and installed screen to keep insects out. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend (1 of 1 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review Displaying reviews 1-7
