Can nearly eliminate cigarette smoke which is a tall task. Certainly contains the smell in the room and clears up smell quickly. My husband put a hepa filter machine in our bedroom and these are the filters that fit the machine. I am feeling much better and it runs every day while the bedroom door is closed. This is a very good product. When we changed the filter it was amazing the amount of dust particles this filter caught! Love it.
