HP190 - The standard for Radon Mitigation. Ideally tailored performance curve for a vast majority of mitigations. Choice of model is dependent on building characteristics and should be made by a radon professional.

Every Fantech Radon Fan is fully caulked as necessary to ensure optimum performance and durability. All fans are UL rated for outside installations.
Experts all agree that radon is everywhere. A naturally occurring radioactive gas, Radon in low concentrations is harmless. In todays better insulated homes however, radon can accumulate to harmful levels. Your first step in determining the radon level of your home is to test your home. Test kits can be purchased at a number of locations in your town or city. (If you have difficulty, contact your local EPA office and they will assist you).
Once you have tested your home and find that you have dangerous or elevated amounts of radon present you need to consider radon mitigation. In your selection of a contractor make sure he is offering Fantech radon mitigation fans as part of your solution.

Comments about Fantech HP190 Radon Mitigation Fan for 4" Duct - HP 190:
My 2600 sq ft basement was reporting radon levels at 20 pCi/L so I needed to install a radon fan / 4" pvc vent from the basement and out the roof. After talking with the Fantech Tech Support Engineer and describing my basement and Radon levels, he recommended the Fantech HP190. I installed it 2 1/2 weeks ago and I am now only reporting 2.5 to 3 pCi/L at each end of the basement (I have 2 radon meters). I would recommend this product to anyone with a full basement with a concrete slab floor.

Comments about Fantech HP190 Radon Mitigation Fan for 4" Duct - HP 190:
This fan really works well. It is very quiet and draws very well as evidenced by tests for sub-slab communication (suction across the entire basement floor). I have an approx. 2,500 sq. ft. basement slab and it pulls from across the entire slab. I am not a radon mitigation expert, but I do know enough about it that I would recommend this product to anyone that has a radon problem. I will get back with you when I get my test results after the installation of the fan.

Comments about Fantech HP190 Radon Mitigation Fan for 4" Duct - HP 190:
I probably should have purchased the rubber connectors from the fan supplier because the local hardware stores reducer for 4" to 3" PVC did not fit the fan the best. My reducer did clamp down of the fan but it could have been better. The fan is super quiet and the radon level has dropped already. I need to purge the whole basement but with below zero temp. outside I will wait. I will run a bathroom exhaust fan for an extended time to reduce the residual gas.

I needed to replace my radon exhaust fan. Contactor's quoted prices of $200-$300. I did it in less than an hour paying only for the unit. It installed with just a couple of simple tools,
