I am use to professional CT devices that provide an make/break for me to troubleshoot. So the first thing I did was attach it to the common lead and see if I got continuity through the sensor. I didn't receive a signal and the Ohm's didn't change. However once I put the 24 VAC signal from the humidifier through the sensor it worked perfectly and I am no longer worried if my sail switch is stuck.
