I ordered this filter for my AC unit in the attic and I have to say that the product is great. The only complaint I have is the wire backing that comes attatched to the filter. I cut my fingers a couple of times folding it into the frame. Other than that I couldn't be happier with it.

Previous reviews and installation video on the web site all gave me a good idea of what to expect. Took note of how our original filter was installed and was careful to not bend wires, so didn't get poked. Took a few minutes to realize the cardboard had to be re-shaped on one side to fit the frame (flattened in package). Evenly spaced with "extra" folds on each end. I studied how the frame was shaped and how the cardboard was shaped. By carefully prodding and reshaping, without forcing the cardboard, it all suddenly fit together perfectly. I read instructions on packet AFTERWARDS--I think they are mis-leading about placing filter in the frame with the mesh facing "down"--down and up are confusing because of the way the frame opens (sort of upside-down); the mesh faces downwards when the frame is placed back into the system. Good product; glad the web site clearly explained expandable replacements with existing plastic frame vs. cardboard framed replacements. [...]

Filter cartridges were easy to install and fit my
Trane filter frame. After you fit a cartridge once or twice, you will get the hang of it. Not difficult to do. I tried the Honeywell 4" filter replacement filters but they do not fit the Trane space fully. Using the cartridges in the frame that came with the Trane is the way to go.
