The frameless type was a total pain to install in the frame, so this filter is the way to go, but it is more expensive. It really does its job, though! Service and delivery comments: I love the reminders I receive that it's time to change the filter - I happen to have the filters changed when we have the HVAC service done twice a year, but your reminders help me make sure I have fresh filters for the serviceman when he arrives. These filters are very good, easy to replace, and installer said to replace every 6-12 months, depending on air quality in home. I have replaced only with Trane brand filters. Service and delivery comments: Delivery was prompt and filters are packaged to prevent any damage. We did not use customer service as filter replacement is very simple.
