Specifications: -Air filters are pleated media type.
-The filter media consists of 100% synthetic electrostatically charged thermally bonded fibers with no chemical binders.
-The media is continuously bonded to a 30 guage galvanized, corrosion resistant, expanded metal support grid with an effective open areaof 96%.
-The media is pleated to maximize surface area and dust holding and minimize airflow resistance.
-The enclosure frames are constructed of high wet strength, moisture resistant beverage board.
-Diagonal support members of the frame are bonded to the air entering and exit apexes of each pleat to prevent pleat collapse and filter bowling.
-The inside periphery of the enclosing frame is completely bonded to the outer edges of the filter media to prevent bypass.
-The air filters are listed and rated by Underwriters Laboratory as UL class 2 and have a maximum teperature rating of 180 degrees Farenheit.

Been using this filter for over a year. The furnace installer originally used a washable filter, which I rarely washed and didn't collect much dust. Changed to this replaceable filter which works fine. It fits loosely, but there are no gaps. At one point last winter we developed a whistle in the filter when the furnace ran, which was solved by changing out the filter. The filter certainly collects a lot of dust, and I'm probably going to step up changes from every three months to every other month.

I use these filters, changing monthly, in my floor return. They fit well and it is so nice to receive a box of the filters in my correct, difficult to find size. I keep my box of filters in my coat closet (near the return) and even though I am getting 6 at a time, they do not take up a lot of room. I have 3 cats, 1 dog , and a daughter with allergies. These filters, along with my Dyson, keep my house in the best shape possible for us!

Buying a bundle of AC filters online from iaqsource.com solved a long-playing problem -- that is making the rounds of various home improvement stores and hoping they had enough of (or any) of the correct size AC filters in stock, especially during a heat wave in a hot climate. By buying a bundle from iaqsource, the search was over in a minute or two, as opposed to the waste of time and gas in searching for the correct filters.
