I purchased this thermostat to replace the one for my central A/C, that went bad. I mostly use it manually, to turn on the A/C when needed & off when the outside temp. drops.
We replace another thermostat which was also a White Rodgers which was the original to the 16 year old house. It still worked however the display was no longer readable.
I wanted to get a replacement for the thermostat I had so as to eliminate any problems with connections.[...] the price was decent. The installation was so easy bringing me back to cool air in no time!
[...] price was almost half of local replacement. Also, unit is obsolete (5 yrs old!), but I wanted to maintain continunity with three other units in our 4-zone home installation.
