Comments about RadonAway Model GP201 3" Radon Fan:
I had an old pump that was fully functional but extremely loud and irritating. I called the company that installed the pump and they were going to charge me an astronomical rate to replace the motor...then I found this pump, I ordered it received it within 2 weeks and had the old pump removed and new pump installed and fully functional within 20 mins... Great Product, and quiet as can be!!!

Comments about RadonAway Model GP201 3" Radon Fan:
The fan was easy to install, runs quietly and seems to be doing the job. Suggested accessories were necessary and came together perfectly. Several neighbors with similar radon issues have remarked that they intend to do the job themselves after seeing how simple the installation really was.

Comments about RadonAway Model GP201 3" Radon Fan:
The exhaust air coming out of the end of the 35' run of 3" diameter pipe is strong enough to blow the hat off your head...and this fan is a small one, not rated as a high CFM unit. The added benefit in our house is that it will remove damp air from under the basement slab for improved moisture control due to the crushed rock air plenum that exists down there. Delivery was fast and installation easy. Local contractors told me before purchase that this is the best brand to use...how can I go wrong? In a couple weeks I will know how well it works when the radon test results are returned.

Comments about RadonAway Model GP201 3" Radon Fan:
A very complicated install in a circa 1900 2 1/2 story Victorian limited vent size to 3" schedule 40 PVC. An exterior installation or boxed interior chases and soffits were unacceptable, the vent was required to be fished through interior walls with the fan located in the attic. The vent passes inside a wall common with 2 bedrooms and the fan's location is directly above 1 bedroom. Quiet and effective operation is essential in this application. The house started with initial readings of 8.4 pi cu/l. After careful sealing and painting of the basement floor readings were in the 5.4 range. A single suction point in the mechanical room in the center of the house was selected while holding in reserve the ability to add more ports if results were unsatisfactory. The foundation is stone and the base under the thin slab was ideal, composed of course sand, stone and gravel. The GP201 was plugged in and indicated 2.0 inches of suction. Readings fell over the initial first week of ops and have stabilized at .3 pi cu/l. These results are outstanding (perhaps perfectly in equilibrium with ambient) and have far outpaced our expectations, below 2.0 was our goal. No doubt the tall height of the system boosted performance due to the chimney effect. Careful attention was paid to isolating the fan and pipe with the structure to keep sound transmission minimized. The sound level is quieter than expected, one must place their ear against the plaster and lath wall to hear the dull hum of the system in operation. I'm certain the nature of horse hair plaster wall construction helps deaden sound when compared to drywall. The GP201 proved to be a perfect choice and plays an essential part in a best case performing system. Time will tell if it continues to perform quietly and effectively.

Comments about RadonAway Model GP201 3" Radon Fan:
I wanted to wait until I recieved my latest radon test results to comment. My first test came back at 11.5 pCi/L. I then caulked cracks in the basement floor, sealed the sump, and ran a 3" pipe from the sump to the outside then ran another test and it came back at 7.0 pCi/L for a passive type system. At that time I decided to add the GP201 Radonaway fan based on comments from online blogs. Good move! The fan was delivered super fast from iaqsource. It is quiet, vibration free, and powerful and uses very little energy. A quality item for sure. I installed it in one day in my attic with my sons help. My latest radon level came back at 0.8 pCi/L, which is not much more, if any, than the outside air. I'm very pleased with the results and with iaqsource. Thanks iaqsource, Bob

Comments about RadonAway Model GP201 3" Radon Fan:
I bought this as a direct replacement of my original GP201 that was installed 17 years ago. I am sure it would have lasted even longer if a curious squirrel had not climbed into the exhaust and jammed himself into the fan. Installation took me about 10-15 minutes as others have described.
