I used this to vent my bathroom vent fan out through the soffit. I had to drill out the screw holes to accommodate large enough fasteners and the holes are very close to the edge. I would prefer a wider and thicker flange with larger holes for mounting.

Having said all of that, it went up well and will do the job and the price was good.

I used this to exhaust bath and shower vents under my soffits. We cut a hole in the soffit and used some siding screws to secure the vent. It worked perfectly for our application and is sleek and flat. I don't think anyone will notice these vents and it's exactly what we needed instead of going through the roof with the vents.

This vent fits into a circular hole cut in the soffit, so that the bathroom fan can vent downward under the eves rather than to a hole cut in the roof. It's simple, effective, and has no moving parts. It is also not vulnerable to bad weather because it vents downward.
