At 32*F,outside temperature, the previous thermostat would cycle 15-18 minutes on and 28 to 35 minutes off resulting in chilly spots and warm spots. At the same outside temperature this Honeywell runs 7-8 minutes on and 14-15 minutes off. It is very consistent and keeps both large and small rooms very comfortable. It made a great improvement in balanced comfort all over our home. It installed easily and quickly with no problems following the guidelines on the Prothermostat website. It also has a backlight that makes it easy to see. Our other control did not have this feature.

We had the heating/air guy install this for us. We have two heating units and use this thermostat on both of them. Nice clean design looks fine on the walls. Should still be able to read the numbers when I'm an old lady.

I own an apartment building and noticed my tenants regulating their heat by opening their window instead of turning down their thermostat. Enough! I purchased 4 and set the temperature lock and now the windows stay closed at 20 degrees. I like the large, numbers, the lighted display and ease of set up. I recommend purchasing the wallplates to cover up holes in the wall from old thermostat. [...]

Biggest advantage is that is displays both the current temperature AND the temp setting.
Also displays current function (i.e. "Heater ON"), which is useful for troubleshooting.
