About the VisionPro IAQ Control: The VisionPro IAQ would install in place of your current thermostat and become the central control of all temperature, humidification, dehumidification, and ventilation products in your home. The VisionPro IAQ has about any bell or whistle you can imagine. It is comprised of a thermostat (looks just like a standard Honeywell VisionPro) and an Equipment Interface Module (EIM). The thermostat only requires 3 wires and is a very convenient retrofit for and older thermostat. It talks to the EIM, which is typically installed in the mechanical room with heating, cooling, humidification equipment.

Install directions overall are very clear. Wiring is easy once you select the right configuration for you. I recommend wiring with the fan delay, because it reduces the run time on your house fan (noisy in my case). The length of the outside temp probe was very short so plan to have extra wire & crimp connectors. I ended up throwing away everything between the saddle valve and the male threads on the humidifier. The 1/4" plastic tubing was oddly oversized & did not fit the compression fitting on the saddle valve. So I bought a roll at Lowe's that worked fine. The quick connect fitting at the humidifier did not hold (yes I know how to use them) so I replaced with a standard brass compression fitting. At initial startup I got the blinking lights indicating no signal from the thermostat. Troubleshooting was tricky, because the actual issue was insufficient cold water flow... the supplied backup preventer only allowed a trickle. Since it was wired for fan delay mode, the tank did not fill & therefore the thermostat did not send a humidity call. Threw the backflow preventer away & purchased a Cole Parmer 1/4" quick connect check valve. Works fine now. 9gpm model easily maintains humidity in 1700 sq ft ranch with unfinished basement. It was a little frustrating having to replace all of the supply line components (I did not contact IAQSource for replacement, just purchased locally to finish the job & avoid shipping time). However, the main components that count - humidifier, thermostat & equipment interface - are of good quality. Oh, and don't forget to order an inline filter because it is the one & only item not included in the box. Bottom line: I am very happy with the humidifier despite a few install issues.

The Honeywell Truesteam unit is working great! I have submitted questions via your info email address concerning my warranty options with NT Supply. I learned after the purchase of the Truesteam unit that Honeywell will not honor it's 5 year warranty since I installed it myself. Therefore, I need to know if NT Supply will honor the warranty through the website.

I purchased two of the 9 gallon kits, HM509VPIAQ. Kits have everything needed other than thermastat wire. Total installation for both units was about 4 1/2 hours. Docementaion was very detailed step by step on installation Wiring and program options documentation was excellant. Most moderatly handy homeowner could handle this installation and configuration.

I installed two of these - a 12 gallon and a 9 gallon. They deliver exactly the humidy promised. I'm in Denver, which is very dry in the winter. But buy the one with the top end thermostate that comes with it. It monitors humidity and adds it when needed. You simply set the percentage you want. These are ideal machines.

The Truesteam is now working Great! The original setup was difficult because the installation manual should have said, "...in order to activate the humidifier (option 374), you must first select option 372 and turn the humidity function on. This will make the functions 374 AVAILABLE. A lot of time was spent figuring this out.

I bought this to reduce the dry skin and sinuses we experience in the winter due to low interior humidity. [...]I had it installed and running by that evening. (I installed the exterior temperature sensor the next day) All the parts required for most installs are included. I needed only one trip to the local hardware store for some thermostat wire (from the humidifier to the VisionPro IAQ equipment interface module and to the outside temp sensor) and a couple misc. plumbing fittings to adapt to an existing condensate drain. The humidifier and new thermostat work great and we have been enjoying more comfortable inside air between 35-40% RH for the last few weeks. Honeywell has really good documentation, making installation relatively straightforward. I highly recommend one of the TruSteam humidifiers.
