I have 2 of the 512 models for about 8000 sq ft of residential space. This product is VASTLY superior to a conventional bypass humidifier for its ability to improve IAQ in the winter months. One has to be careful as the windows can get sweaty in a hurry (yes, double pane argon-filled etc). The main reasons are that the devices will run your furnace fans at their own call, not only when heat is called for. So your fans will run more but the results are worth it. And the steam, formed at 140 degrees C, seems to be more effective than the older bypass dirty screen method.
Emphasis must be made that you must have soft water to use these effectively. The coils are so hot that the hard water minerals accumulate in a hurry otherwise, shutting the units down. I installed these before the water softner (city water at 120 PPM) and they would clog with sediment within 7 days even on the Q 10hr drain setting. With a water softener the problem is no more. And yes I was using the recommended in-line water filter prior to the softner, with seemingly no benefit.
There are some QC issues: the tanks are plastic and are turning dark in color and developing cracks on the edges from the heat. I have had 2 faulty water sensors, and the overall build quality seems a little compromised to me. I would have paid more for better construction.
Overall, despite the issues above, I feel this is a superior product compared to the more conventional humidifiers and it is highly recommended.

I used this Humidifier for one season and the heater coil was so Corroded it was very hard to remove the lime and calcium build up also I had to shut it down and drain it four times in one season because of how dirty it got with brown silt. The coil is not warranted and can't be replaced. Don't throw you money away on this bad product.

[...] This unit itself is very small but really puts the humidity in the whole house within a few days. I was under 20% originally and now in the low 30% humidity. It is very noticeable once it has been on just for a few days. -cons: I am not the best at wiring so I grabbed the help of a friend who is much more experienced and an overall handyman. Mounting the unit and getting it setup was pretty quick and easy. It was understanding which wires went where to and from. After we sat working at this for a while we managed to get it all straight. I was hoping to use my thermostate to regulate the humidifier but either I set it up wrong or misunderstood. Overall it is a great compact unit that saves money and is a "Green" piece of hardware to have installed. would be 5 stars if not for the install issues.

Very impressed with this unit. It is eco friendly with using 1:1 water to steam ratio and very, very easy to install once you learn which may you need to wire it. The wiring may be confusing to some because the installation book can get confusing.
This unit will humidify your home without the use of your heating system. The humidifier simply will humidify and run your fan when your humidity drops below the set RH.
I do recommend it.
