Fantech Dual Point Bath Exhaust Kit (PB 270-2). This kit replaces the DLX 150 and PB230-2
Do bathrooms fans have to sound like a wind tunnel to get the job done? The truth is, noisy bathroom exhaust fans lose much of their effectiveness, simply because people don't want to use them. So, odor, moisture, mold and mildew build up. Even the most elegant bathrooms become unattractive, and may suffer long-term damage.
Fantech bathroom exhaust fans are designed to operate quietly and effectively, so people actually use them. Yet their affordability means they're right for every bathroom-from simple to luxurious.
Requested by clients. Specified by designers.
You'll find Fantech bathroom exhaust fans specified on the blueprints of top architects and designers.
Why? Simple. They're quiet, efficient and reliable, and they're easy to install. Better still, Fantech offers a choice of interior and exterior mounted fans. So there's a Fantech bathroom exhaust fan for every situation.
The PB270-2 includes all basic components- the only additional elements required to complete the installation are flexible 4" and 6" ductwork and a roof or side vent.
Grill housings: 6"L X 6"W X 5 1/2" H. Fits between 2x6 construction.
INSTALLATION TIPS
Locate vent as close as possible bath fixtures (toilet, showers, and hot tubs Fantech recommends the use of insulated flexible duct for the exhaust system Place at least 8 feet of duct between intake grill and fan (insulated flexible duct allows sound from the fan to dissapate gradually so that it can not be heard in the bathroom)
Comments about Fantech PB270-2 Premium Bath Fan Kit with Dual Grilles - 270 CFM:
This was very difficult to mount. The metal is not fabricated well to attach with sheet metal screws to ensure that screws don't obstruct fan path.

Comments about Fantech PB270-2 Premium Bath Fan Kit with Dual Grilles - 270 CFM:
I was looking for a fan that could was easy to install in the attic with multiple (two) fan intakes to help clear a large master bathroom. This fan kit came with the major parts to make the installation easy. I just had to purchased the items recommended in the instructions from my local building supply store to complete the installation. I had priced these parts through a local plumbing supply but the cost was much higher. The parts were delivered on time, as promised.

Put this fan in our master bathroom during a remodel where none existed before. It is EXTREMELY quiet yet powerful. I would recommend using a timer as it is so quiet you would forget it is on!

Comments about Fantech PB270-2 Premium Bath Fan Kit with Dual Grilles - 270 CFM:
These are awesome fans. I installed 3 fans..one in my master bath, guest bath and laundryroom. The master bath fan vented the shower, tub and water closet. The guest bath vented the tub/shower and water closet and the laundry fan vented the laundry room and 1/2 bath. They pull so much air I couldnt believe it. They're quite and powerful. The guys I had helping me with the installation were extremely impressed with everything about them; from the ease of installation to how much air they actually moved. i dont have anything negative to say about these fans.

Watch where you attach screws when fastening to bracket. Screws may impede the fan itself. Otherwise, runs quietly and owners are very satisfied.

I have this unit servicing two back to back bathrooms. I love it, there is only one hole in the roof for a vent, and powerful enough to handle both areas. I also installed a timer in both rooms so the fan doesn't get left on.

Comments about Fantech PB270-2 Premium Bath Fan Kit with Dual Grilles - 270 CFM:
Good product, used to vent two baths; very quiet. Instructions fail to spell out that you need to drill holes in the fan for the mounting bracket but it was easy. Used an electronic timer in each bath and wired in parallel. Looks great and works well.

Comments about Fantech PB270-2 Premium Bath Fan Kit with Dual Grilles - 270 CFM:
This was absolutely the "best bang for your buck" exhaust fan we've used in any of our remodels. It is so quiet, we had to add lighted switches as a reminder they were still on. We have them pulling from 2 10'X 10' bathrooms and perform flawlessly.
