Fantech Single Point Bath Exhaust Kit (PB 190). This kit replaces the REG 140.
Do bathrooms fans have to sound like a wind tunnel to get the job done? The truth is, noisy bathroom exhaust fans lose much of their effectiveness, simply because people don't want to use them. So, odor, moisture, mold and mildew build up. Even the most elegant bathrooms become unattractive, and may suffer long-term damage.
Fantech bathroom exhaust fans are designed to operate quietly and effectively, so people actually use them. Yet their affordability means they're right for every bathroom-from simple to luxurious.
Requested by clients. Specified by designers.
You'll find Fantech bathroom exhaust fans specified on the blueprints of top architects and designers.

This kit is for single point exhaust.

Comments about Fantech PB190 Premium Bath Fan Kit - 190 CFM:
Installed Fantech units in my previous house. Some friends thought these were overkill in our new home since they'd never knew about inline fans, but I love how quiet and effective they perform. They'll change their minds when they see how well the fans compare with noisy ceiling units. Worth the effort, actually easy compared to my old home since I installed them while all the walls and ceilings were open.

Comments about Fantech PB190 Premium Bath Fan Kit - 190 CFM:
I wish I knew about these fans, along time ago. Easy installation, quiet, attractive ceiling grill looks like a recessed light fixture. The back draft enclosure, spring is not strong enough to close the flaps. I have an exterior flapper on the roof vent that prevents back drafts, may prevent the enclosure flaps from closing. I'm going to order (2) more to replace my current in-ceiling fans. Quiet, energy star rated, and easy installation. I will only install these in-line exhaust fans.

Comments about Fantech PB190 Premium Bath Fan Kit - 190 CFM:
This fan is unbelievable. It literally sucks the door closed on our enclosed toilet room. And with the door closed you can feel the air rushing in under the door, air even gets sucked in through the light switch! Nothing escapes.
All that, and you can barely hear it, and then only when directly under the inlet vent. Super clean design. 6" duct, but the inlet is barely larger than that and very flush with ceiling.
It takes some crawling around in the attic to install it. But it is quite simple really. Wiring was a breeze.
Highly, highly recommended. We should have installed one in every bathroom!

Comments about Fantech PB190 Premium Bath Fan Kit - 190 CFM:
I mounted mine in the attic about 8 feet from the intake plenum, and I was surprised I could still hear it. One because just the movement of air but also could hear the motor unit. It was reasonably easy to install (other than crawling around in the attic is always a pain...hot and cramped). Connecting the insulated 6" flex duct was the toughest part. The plenum is a bit flimsy and I would think they could come up with a better design to hang it. But it works OK. In general I'd recommend it. Time will tell about durability, but it looks bullet-proof.
