Fantech Model FG 8XL Fits 8" Round Duct

The company that invented the circular duct fan more than thirty years ago, now introduces new improved inline fans that are virtually airtight. New production processes eliminate manufacturing variances to ensure tight tolerances for optimal performance of every fan. Galvanized steel housings meet code requirements for both residential and commercial applications. High quality ebm-papst motors ensure long life and dependable performance.

Simplified Installation:
The FG Series features new longer duct connections for easier installation. Fans are prewired and include bracket for mounting to wall or ceiling.
Straight-through airflow allows fans to be installed at any angle at any point along the ductwork.

Kitchen Stove top exhaust. Appears to be good quality. Haven't installed yet, but tried it out on the floor and it is smooth and quiet.

This fan is very powerful--about 10 times better than a Chinese axial fan I tried. It does howl very loudly and I am in the process fixing that with insulated flex duct and possibly an expensive muffler. The noise is intolerable. As per instruction profanity has been withheld.

used as an exhaust fan on a commercial dish washer to remove steam 'adaquate' probably could use the next size up but ducting would not support it.

Great product [...] Fan is silent. It was installed with 5 inlet ports converging to a 8" main run. The only perceivable noise was at the inlets from the air rushing into the pipe.

Our family room was an add on (years ago) and when we moved in 2 winters ago, it wasn't comfortable. Could not get the heat above 65 on winter days even with the fireplace on. As soon as we added the fan the temp raised to about 70-73. This is a 20 x 20 family room and it is lovely to sit in it and watch TV, enjoy the fire, etc., now that it heats properly.
