I just put this fan for our master bathroom last week, and it is very powerful. It is quite; and what I hear is the sound from the air flow going through the grill. I like the fan, but attaching the fan to the mounting bracket is a little tricky. If you are not careful, you can drill into the fan and block its rotation. I did it, and I had to use a tape to cover the hole and move the mounting bracket a little outward and re-drill to attach the fan to the bracket. I think the manufacture should paint a line on the fan to indicate where the drilling should be done, because a couple of millimeters can make the difference.

Installed for the bathroom. No more steam. Installed with humidity switch, so no more dampness in the bathroom. Not quiet though.

I used this as an inline bathroom fan in a basement and needed about 20 feet of 4" pipe to the outside of the house. This fan worked GREAT. It was easy to install and really does and excellent job of moving air. Mounting this unit between floors in the space between the floor joist required a bit of work because I didn't want to use the mounting bracket supplied (I thought it would couple too much vibration to the floor). I used metal strapping and sheet metal screws to minimize vibration.

The final result is very quiet and it's much quieter than I expected based on the CFM it moves. It is certainly much quieter than the ceiling mounted bathroom fan it replaced.

I replaced the noisy bath fan that was original to the house. The bath mirrors which used to fog with the old fan do not fog up anymore with this new fan. Because the fan mounts in the attic there is no noise at all. This is the third fan I have installed and I have learned a few things. First, you can do most of the assembly before you get in the attic. To attach the wire to the fan you will need a very small flat screwdriver for the connections. You will also need a wire clamp to hold the wire securely to the housing. Mark and drill the mounting holes in the fan housing and attach the bracket with the short sheet metal screws. I also attached the insulated duct to the fan before getting in the attic. I detached the old wire from the fan and connected it in a metal junction box in the attic so the same switch controls it. I took out the damper in the ceiling housing and replaced it with an inline damper (purchased separately) in the hose. After you install one, you will want to replace all the old noisy fans in your house. I love this fan!

I mounted these 2 fan motors right above my attic door in my front closet so they would be easy to access. One fan is 10 feet away from its bathroom, the other is 8, and the exhaust vents are 10 feet away from the fans (under eave, the best for winters). Thats 20 feet of 4" tubing on 1 fan. Removing the ceiling in one bathroom made the job easy. 2 sheets of drywall fixed it. I used the Fantech premium grilles and the designer electronic fan timers. Everything works wonderful. Plenty of exhaust for my 60 square foot bathroom. Never any steam on the mirror. Very Quiet. Love the timers. [...] I highly recommend this company. I also recomend the inline damper for about $14, they do very well in keeping out the cold air. Bathroom Fan Experts have the best prices too.

The mounting bracket is used for several fans and isn't clear (nor are the instructions) as to where to screw in the factory provided screws. If you choose the wrong hole you will screw directly into the fan.

This replaced an older ceiling mounted bathroom exhaust, which was not very powerful and was noisy. Installing this fan in the attic greatly reduced the noise level and the fan is much more powerful than the older one. It was also much easier to install in this fan in the attic than to install another fan in the ceiling.
