These pleated filters are made to be installed in the Aprilaire/Space-Gard 2200 and 2250 Air Cleaner. They are fully expanded - and no assembly or pleat spacers are required. Simply place the filter in the plastic inner housing and slide it in!

This is a direct one-piece replacement for the original Aprilaire "accordian" filter; but it has much better filtration with the MERV 13 filter. The price is worth it!

This filter is easy to REMOVE when it's full of dust/yucky stuff. I have allergies, and the older accordion pleated media that requires assembling the comb spacers also requires taking them apart and requires touching and disturbing the dust. This product arrives in a bag that can be used to seal up the dirty filter so it doesn't leak dust up the cellar stairs and out of the house. It is sturdy, convenient, and filters well. I could not find the right size of filter at my usual store, and I was delighted to find it online.
