As a 32 year UTC/Carrier employee,I expected it to be perfect and it met all criteriors.

Ordered this to replace the original (very old) solenoid on our Carrier 49BF humidifier. The contacts that fit into the old plug were a little closer together than the original, but it fit with just a little brute force and works just fine. Saved me a lot of money and the humidity is back to optimal levels!

Delivered on time without damage.

Not a direct sub for EFLJ242. The 242 has an AC coil, this 241 has a DC coil. It requires a rectifier plug to work as a 242, which I had to buy for $51 from a different source. It does work well once the rectifier plug is added.

Popped out the old one, clipped in the new one, done!
