Product container arrived undamaged but metal securing damper was bent and damper was detached. Rod had no way of staying in place once straightened so I had to do some 'creative re-engineering' to secure it. Once reinstalled, unit worked appropriately. Rectangular rear of unit makes for easy install, which was easy and uneventful. Thought to return product for exchange but seasonal changes were looming. If unit arrived intact I'd rate 4 stars. I could've gotten a similar unit for less money at our local big box, although this unit does have a better paint coating on it. Finally, the flange to which you connect the flex duct needs to be at least 2" longer. I was able to secure the flex duct with extra long zip ties, but not at all easily. Given how the vent flanges sit under the roof shingles, I wasn't able to attach the flex duct before securing the vent so the only option is to do so after the vent is installed. Should be much easier, especially if the area in the attic is tight.

This discharge cap is good for a lifetime of service. You can purchase other brands at less cost, however the quality built is poor and the damper function will not last.

We are very pleased with the exterior appearance of the roof cap that we purchased. The product has only been installed for three months, therefore, we are unable to evaluate the overall performance (rust) at this time. It does appear to be a very well/solid item. Installation is easy if you have some knowledge of roofing and follow the instuctions carefully. Also need the appropriate tools to cut a hole in your roof.

Used with the Broan-Nutone QXT110 fan with the heater and it works well. The only problem is the flange that connects to the exhaust duct is a little short. If it was an inch or two longer, the vent would be perfect.

The vent came a little bent and the damper did not work but with a few minute and tweaking the sheet metal it was perfect. Installed easier then I was anticipating, as this was the first one i have installed. Wished there was a cheaper stainless steel version or on aluminum one so it does not rush. Paint seemed like it should hold up well over time.
