Plus: use to control Aprilaire 560 humidifier humidity setting, easy to wire up to existing Bryant 1 stage gas furnace and central air unit, installed 5490 outdoor temp sensor (mounted below bay window) that seems to automatically prevent condensation on windows so far for humidity control, easy to program 7 day temp settings, also has "circ" setting for fan so T-stat runs fan each hr for a time period you set (I use 24minutes) this keeps the air mixed up in the house so it feels more comfortable and filters the air when heat is not called for. Manual was pretty easy to follow but like any technical manual you need to read it a few times to fully understand - wiring diagram could be more detailed. There are 2 manuals, one for initial h/w and s/w setup and one for user settings like temperature setpoints. Only needed one wire to control humidifier unit where my old T-stat needed 2 wires. Shipped pretty quickly only using standard shipping. Been installed for 3 weeks. Cons: must press 2 buttons simultaneously to see outdoor temp, must press another 2 buttons to see humidity and humidity setpoint, once there it is easy to change. Display is somewhat small. It would be nice to see outdoor temp and humidity/setpoint on display at same time, needed additional wires for outdoor temp sensor to T-stat, used cheap garage door sensor wiring I had left over for this and works fine. Could use more pushbuttons for better ergonomics so homeowner can program easier, like one for outdoor temperature and one for humidity.

It took some time to install because the back plate is so hard to seperate from the front. I was afraid I was going to break it.
I bought it for its small footprint ad humidity control. It does not come from the factor enabled. You have to really get into the directions to figure out how to turn it on. Wish the programming included humidity control but it is still a nice feature in Florida

This unit was easy to install and setup. Since then the battle to adjust the thermostat has ended. Instead of adjusting the old one up & down & on & off multiple times a day, we have touched this unit only twice in three weeks since installation. Fine tuning, not on & off battles. It's auto adjusted from hot days to cold nights and kept the house comfortable without intervention.
We will get another one to replace the upstairs unit so we can end that battle too.

Conversion from Braeburn 1010 to 5400 should've been much easier. Had problems with wires and where to put the White (W1 or W3?) Using batteries also meant disconnecting the Blue common wire - not mentioned in maual. Somehow during install the 24VAC Xfrmr on the HVAC control board blew and had to pay service call for HVAC to come out on Sunday eve to replace.
