Seamless integration with your local keypad and mobile phone, changes made on any interface will be seen and take effect within 10 seconds.
How to get started: The BAYweb internet thermostat system uses two modules. A simple keypad is placed where the old thermostat went. The BAYweb control module is installed behind the scenes, often in the mechanical room. 4-conductor thermostat wire runs from the keypad to the control module. 4-conductor thermostat wire (or up to 8 wires on the Advanced module) runs from other side of the the control module to your HVAC system. The control module plugs into a standard 115V electrical outlet or can be powered using 24V directly from your heating and cooling equipment. A Cat5 ethernet cable runs from a LAN port on the control module to your internet router or switch.
Bay's Plug-N-GoTM networking technology enables you to utilize all of the Internet-based capabilities by simply plugging it in to your network. No network or router changes, or network experience is required. Requires a full time broadband Internet connection. To use existing thermostat cable, at least 4 conductors are required. Exclusively for use in the United States. Temperature indicated in degrees Fahrenheit.
Setup is quick and simple. Use the Portal on BAYweb's website to set up your account. Once that is complete, setup your schedule, energy monitoring, keypad lockout, etc. on the internet from any computer with web access.

I use the product to monitor and control the temperature at my business. Being able to check and adjust the thermostat from my phone is an amazing feature. The ability to lock out the keypad will allow me to keep costs under control.For the price and performance, this product can not be beat. I will be ordering another one for my other business.

I purchased three thermostats, one for a lake house and two for a 5000 SF office with two HVAC units. The intent for the lake house was for remote monitoring and to allow us to adjust the setpoint so that the house would be comfortable when we arrive. The intent for the office was two-fold: to provide programming capablility to suit four ten-hour workdays and to restrict access to temperature setpoints.
I was not sure which BAYweb unit would work for my application. I sent a photograph of the old thermostat wiring and received a response within 30 minutes explaining the differences in the units and detailing the product that I needed.
The units perform remarkably well. The office keypads are locked out, rendering the local setpoints inoperable which is exactly what I wanted. The lake house unit allows us to change the setpoint well before arrival so that the house is comfortable when we get there. As an added bonus, BAYweb sends me an email whenever their server loses contact with any control unit. This lets me know when web access is lost or when power outages occur, which is not uncommon at the lake house.
There are a few caveats. Changing setpoints from a mobile device such as a Blackberry is difficult. I can raise temperature setpoints but am not able to lower them. Also some of the navigation buttons in the data logging displays don't work as expected. These are not show stoppers.
Overall these units are excellent investments and give far more programming and control functionality than any other thermostat I've ever seen. I would highly recommend them.
