Was initially disappointed these came in 6 packs...only one was broken the last time I cleaned the unit. When I removed the filter this time, three more had broken...shows what I know!

I only checked a few websites and found that altough all are a little pricy and you have to order the 6 pack rather than by the piece, this company was the most reasonable. Thank you.

During winter months, heat causes product to almost melt. Lots of the inserts curl up and even break off. I wish there was one made of material that does not give in to the heat. I contacted company a couple of years ago but they said there is no other option so I've had to replace them frequently.

I like this site. I was looking for this part and another on-line site called [@] had this shown about the Pleat Spacers: 'This item never wears out but may break. Each air cleaner takes 6 of these but since you rarely need all 6 we are offering them on an individual basis.'Of course their price was [$] and some cents. Talk about misleading. Geeeeeee, they never wear out but may break. I also think this whole AprilAire 5000 is a piece of cheap junk. So, buy your parts on this site.
