Aprilaire #4270 pleat spacers for air cleaner model 2400 / 5000 (6-Pack). Spacers clip into the plastic inner housing to hold filter media in place and keep pleat spacing even. Pleat spacers and inner housing can be re-used and only need to be replaced if they are broken or lost.
If you have discarded your spacers and plastic inner housing, the entire assembly is available for sale.

I wish there was one made of material that does not give in to the heat. I contacted company a couple of years ago but they said there is no other option so I've had to replace them frequently. I was looking for this part and another on-line site called [@] had this shown about the Pleat Spacers: 'This item never wears out but may break. Each air cleaner takes 6 of these but since you rarely need all 6 we are offering them on an individual basis.'Of course their price was [$] and some cents. Talk about misleading. Geeeeeee, they never wear out but may break. I also think this whole AprilAire 5000 is a piece of cheap junk. So, buy your parts on this site.
