The In-Line Strainer is a tiny strainer that fits in the inlet fitting of the water solenoid valve which allows water to enter your humidifier or stops the water flow. It is designed to keep debris from entering the solenoid valve and should be checked annually for the build-up of minerals and grit. Replace as necessary. For use with models: 110, 112, 220, 224, 350, 360, 400, 440, 445, 445A, 448, 550, 550A, 558, 560, 560A, 568, 600, 700, 760, 760A and 768
Replacement parts for my Aprilaire whole house humidifier were easily identified by part number for my model. Price comparison was best I found online. Parts arrived faster than quoted. Highly recommend dealing with the guys......

Several years ago I noticed poor performance from my humidifier, after looking at the parts sheet it was easy to determine the filter was partially clogged. At the beginning of the heating season I now replace this filter when servicing my humidifier as part of normal routine. Annual replacement of this is an easy and inexpensive way to improve reliability and performance.
