Question & Answer

This is the self-tapping water valve that attaches to the water line in your home and supplies water to the Aprilaire Humidifier.
It is designed to either be open or closed and is not designed to regulate the flow of the water.
For use with models: 110, 112, 220, 224, 350, 360, 400, 440, 445, 445A, 448, 550, 558, 560, 560A, 568, 600, 700, 760, 760A and 768

Fits 3/8" O.D. to 7/8" O.D. copper tubing with 1/4" O.D. compression outlet. Includes brass needle valve, steel saddle clamp, nuts, sleeves, and inserts for poly or copper tubing. Do not install on PVC or PEX water line.

This thing is built tough!!! When I installed it, the brackets did not bend at all...in fact the bracket actually crushed the pipe some, so be careful!!! Once installed, piercing the pipe was easy. Make sure to back the valve all the way back out when you are done. Used for my Refrigerator water system...plenty of flow! Worth the price [...]!!

For a quick replacement, this saddle valve worked well. A screw driver and a couple of minutes was all it took to install. A real shutoff value would be preferable, but for the money, this is a good option.
