After installing a new range hood with a damper bought from my local Ace Hardware store the damper rattled. This was particularly annoying since I bought an expensive hood so that it would be quiet. A little research turned up this damper and it's worth every penny. The installation was simple and the damper is a quiet as can be. I'm happy and better yet - so is my wife!

I installed this product in both bathroom vent systems and the exhaust duct for the microwave oven. this solved the problem of hot or cold air from entering the house from the roof vent. Installation could not have been easier.

Our bathroom vents were blowing cold air and our house always had a chill in it. We installed these dampers and it has made a 100% difference. The air no longer blows in. Our house is warmer, they were easy to install and work perfectly. Such an easy thing to do but the results are more then I expected.

Used this above our kitchen stove which vents outside. Opened easily on low fan speed, no rattles or whistles on high speed, flappers shut tight when turned exhaust fan off keeping the cold out.

Some reviewers said the springs were too strong and might need to remove one of them. I did not find that to be true. It works exactly as expected even on low fan setting when combined with the Nutone Allure kitchen hood I installed.

I installed this backdraft damper and after a test run I had to disable one of the springs and left the other two in place and when the fan was operational the dampers opened fine with only the two springs. I have had several windy days since installed and it works fine, keeping the wind and dust out of the house, very well built. I would buy again if ever I need a back draft damper.

Completely thrilled with the thorough quality design. I didn't find anyone else with a comparable design--not even close. The packaging needs to be improved a lot. Box was falling apart around the corners. It was amazing it was not damaged! But it wasn't and I am completely happy that their are still companies that produce good quality products!
