Cons Best Uses Comments about American Aldes 4" Roof Cap for Dryer Venting - 22 041: This was the only roof cap I could find for a bathroom fan installation that didn't seem vulnerable to wind-blown rain or snow. All the others were flimsy and too close to the roof. It is well made, fairly substantial, easy to install, with enough height to get above most Virginia snowfalls. The 4" collar didn't seem oversized as stated in other reviews, so the design may have been fixed. The only problem I could see was that the unit is spot-welded galvanized sheet, likely to rust at the spot welds if it isn't painted (with special primer for galvanized metal, followed by normal spray paint) Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful?
