This is the second year I bought from this company. It's a furnace filter just like any other furnace filter you can buy anywhere. But it is easy to order online and the price was the sole differentiating factor in my decision to buy from them. I mentioned it was difficult to install, but that is not the fault of this company - that's the way it was designed.

This was the first time we changed the filter and we had read the filter was difficult to install. The old filter came out easily enough (be sure to remember the correct direction to place the filter) and the new one went in easy on the first side but was difficult to fit the other side. The biggest problem I encountered was the wire "mesh" that was in the filter itself. When I went to straighten it, as you had to frequently to get it to fit, I realized there were small cuts on my hands -one actually very deep- so i stopped and put some work gloves on to finish the process. The cuts came from the wire-which did not actually look very sharp-but is razor sharp. They should put some kind of warning on the filter.
The new filter was just like the one we replaced. We haven't turned on the furnace yet but we're sure it will work well. We shopped around for the filters and by far, this was the best price we found.
We will be more careful with the next filter change and will most likely purchase the filters again when the time comes. We received the shipment in a relatively quick time.

This product is as exact duplicate for the filter that was originally installed in my new Trane furnace. It installs perfectly in the Retrofit Frame Kit. The delivery from Discount Filters was timely and in excellent condition. Instructions for installation are included with product. Self installation requires careful attention to the detailed instructions.
