I've been using the lower MERV of these filters for a year - excellent in themselves. But I sense the MERV 11 makes the air fresher. Perhaps it is because we have shorthaired dog with shedding nearly year round and the dander could be notably less.

since we bought our carrier furnace, this is the only place we could order correct size of odd size filters since they recommend changing monthly esp if you have multiple cats, could make a cheaper one but still effecient
