This high quality "generic" product is manufactured using the same process as the OEM pads it replaces. The materials are identical. The water panel is constructed using an expanded metal mesh covered with a special coating that absorbs water and removes mineral deposits.
For best performance, change at least once per season, maybe more depending on water conditions and frequency of use.

they look exactly like the originals and came quickly and well-packed. btw i am so pleased with my aprilair w.h. humidifier. no filling weekly like portables and keeps my air perfectly humidified. you do have to adjust the humidistat when the outside temperature and relative humidity change a lot, so put the adjuster in a convenient place, not in the basement like mine!
