We have owned this unit for many years and it is durable. We clean it and leave it in the same spot during warm months because it looks like a piece of furniture. We order the wicks and bacteria solution once a year. The only drawback is that we have to turn the tv volume up when we run it on high. It's a very good product and we are glad we can still order the wicks.
