These are the water distribution trays which distribute water evenly to all portions of the evaporative panel. I finally replace my original distribution tray. The old one had the sand granulars glued to the bottom of the tray. Over time these granulars came off, and I'd glue new ones on, they'd come off, and so on. I bought the new distribution tray and found it no longer has the granulars but something else adhered to the bottom..similar to a fabric/nylon. I think this is a better solution. Time will tell.

Fantastic upgrade with the 'cloth' membrane instead of the grainy particles to disperse the water. I can actually notice a difference in teh whole house humidity. Easy to replace. Great upgrade - well worth it!
