Was looking for something to use with a 400 CFM kitchen exhaust fan, and this vent really cleared up a back pressure issue. Awesome airflow, and very sturdy. Cons Best Uses Comments about American Aldes 6" Galvanized Steel Roof Cap: I installed this on a kitchen microwave hood that was pretty noisy and inefficient in terms of moving air. I was able to borrow a duct manometer and measure the pressure above the hood before and after installing this cap. Net is that the backpressure was reduced by about a factor of 2. The hood still is not great but definitely moves a lot more air than with the "big box store" cap. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful?
