The 6504 Aprilaire Intelligent Zoned Comfort Control can be applied to a system with single or multi-stage heat/cool equipment or heat pumps. When used with heat pumps, it also controls the auxiliary and emergency heat operation. Staging is adjustable. The 6504 works exclusively with the 8570 thermostat to provide advanced features and convenience for up to 4 zones The 6504 works only with the Model 8570 thermostat. The Aprilaire Zoned Comfort Control system can work with virtually all low voltage mechanical or electronic thermostats. All zone thermostats must have an “OFF” mode to prevent unintended operation. If specifying an auto changeover thermostat, precautions must be taken to prevent condenser cooling mode operation during low temperature conditions, and heating mode operation (heat pumps only) during warm temperature conditions.
