I purchased my 1st acurite thermometer with humidity reading 4 years ago. I love it. I can tell the temp and humidity level both inside and outside. First thing I look at when I get up in the morning. Just bought 2 more for relatives as Christmas presents.

Worked great right out of the box. It recommended lithium batteries. They cost a bit, but last a long time. Great for monitoring crawl space humidity. Right away I found out there's a problem with too much humidity.

Comments about Acu-Rite Acu-Rite 00592A2 Wireless Humidity and Temperature Meter:
Used in home and crawl space and seems to give accurate measurements in-hose and in crawlspace.
To early to judge realiability, had to do complete reset once which restored reading.
It is a good way to know what is going on on your humidity and teperature affected areas without having to enter these areas, especially crawl spaces. Very satisfied with having this knowledge, as here in N.C. it gets very humid in the summer.
Comments about Acu-Rite Acu-Rite 00592A2 Wireless Humidity and Temperature Meter:
Easy to use. I put the remote sensor under the house and it is reading 70 degrees and 90% humidity. I guess that is not so good for me, but the device works well. It even has a radio link to automatically set and keep the time correct. Good product. [...]. I 'ld give it an A.
Comments about Acu-Rite Acu-Rite 00592A2 Wireless Humidity and Temperature Meter:
I'd give it another half star if I could. Bit clunky for my tastes and I can't seem to make the clock run properly, although I've followed directions and reset it several times. Could be me tho.

I USE THIS WIRELESS METER TO CHECK ON THE HUMIDITY IN MY CRAWL SPACE. IT'S AN EASY WAY TO KEEP TABS ON HOW MY SANTA FE ADVANCE DEHUMIDIFIER IS WORKING. THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE CLEAR AND THE UNIT IS UP AND RUNNING GREAT.
Comments about Acu-Rite Acu-Rite 00592A2 Wireless Humidity and Temperature Meter:
seemed to be best buy for monitoring my crawl space environment . Just installed a Dri-Eaz dehumidifier and wanted to be able to monitor without crawling under house. Works very well. It reads about plus or minus 3 % points from the dehumidifier itself. Close enough.
Comments about Acu-Rite Acu-Rite 00592A2 Wireless Humidity and Temperature Meter:
I recently opened a company that specializes in closed crawlspace construction. I wanted a hygrothermoter with a remote probe so I could monitor the crawlspace humidity level. I have been pleased with this model with its large readout and simple installation.

This is one great product. Batteries last at least two years and the readings are very accurate. Ours has never been able to lock in on the correct atomic time but you can manually set it and it then works great.

Comments about Acu-Rite Acu-Rite 00592A2 Wireless Humidity and Temperature Meter:
I have used this in my crawspace for a year now to monitor the Dehumidifier performance... works well, but I had to recalibrate all (3) sensors... they were off 2 - 8 degrees... just wrote correction factors on front of display... needs better accuracy.
