Filter works OK considering the humidifying unit - Aprilaire 550. Water passes too quickly through the panels, resulting in wasted water and limited humidifying. It is also difficult to determine when the filter panel needs to be changed.

My HVAC guy usually replaces this Aprilaire #10 Water Panel Evaporator. I decided to DIY this year. It was a snap. I also was able to remove and thouroughly clean the remaining part. Had I seen the build up prior to ordering the evaporator, I would have ordered the full kit. But it still worked out great!
