Installation was a snap, just take off the humidifier cover, replace the old, encrusted panel with this new one, and snap the cover back on. Then turn and hold the humidifier control on Test/Reset until the light goes off, and we're set for another year.

Just install the panel in the unit, set the humidity level and when the heat comes on the moisture level soon becomes acceptable....no more dry nasal passages or skin. Thirty-five to forty percent humidity is so much more comfortable than less than ten.

As I stated arrived in just a couple of days the week of Christmas, nothing else did! So simple to install that even I could do it. The only tool that I own is the Yellow Pages to find a company that knows how to do what I want done. I don't think that it took me 10 minutes to install this filter, and the only reason that it took that long is that I had to clean up the mess because I waited to long between changes.

Tried a generic brand and had nothing but problems with water leaking from humidifier. Purchased the "real deal" from Aprilaire and no more leaks! Closer inspection showed the generic brand was slightly smaller than OEM, apparently allowing water to be blown past the top of the evaporator panel. No more generic replacements for me!!

I've ordered 3rd party replacement Aprilaire water panels before, I would advise against using 3rd party ever again!! Aprilaire filters are by far the best and I can tell a huge difference even just by holding the water panel itself. 3rd party were slightly cheaper and would literally crumble. Aprilaire water panels are 4 STAR!

Best easy install this part being the filter.The model 600 Aprilaire humidifier has run through water no moving parts. This is the best of four types I have owned in my 30 years as a home owner. No drums, motors it is so simple and it works great. Install by a person that is qualified but not a spendy install. I wish I would have had one of these 30 years ago. I give this system a "10" and I have had it for seven years mounted on my furnace. Shut it off in the spring. Turn on in the fall with a new filter and your good to go all winter. Steve

The filter is okay; however, it is difficult to adjust the thermostat manually on model 760 Humidifier to outside temperature. Too much moisture on the glass windows. I always try to adjust it to the outside temperature. It seems to works better if it is left on 45 no matter what the outside temperature is. Do you have any other recommendation? The humidifier is connected to the furnace.

I have well water that is very hard and having an inexpensive filter I can change ofter will extend the lift of the unit. The metal filter had fallen apart and clogged the drain tube several times, flooding the utility room. The new material looks much better.
